IED Brasil offers the chance to breath design and inovate

For 10 years, the biggest country of South America has been holding two campuses, in Sao Paulo and in Rio de Janeiro, where students from Brazil and around the world are invited to think, live and break new ground for the Design.

Now there is an easiest way to get information on what is required to study at Brazilian campuses of Istituto Europeo di Design.

The IED International’s goal is to provide knowledge and to ease international student’s access to the courses offered by IED Brazilian campuses.

International students may have difficulties in gathering information about required documents and application deadlines. To avoid these obstacles, the IED has a dedicated channel of communication.

Lear how to study in the only Brazilian college totally geared towards Design

The IED Brazil keeps the doors open to foreign students. It is simple to join the courses offered by Istituto Europeo di Design in São Paulo or in Rio de Janeiro.

You will need a student visa, which must be required at the closer Brazilian Consulate or Embassy in your home country.

In order to do so, you will be asked to present the Acceptance Letter – a document which enables you to demonstrate to the Brazilian Diplomatic Authorities that you have complied with all the IED admission procedures.

Student visa application may vary from country to country due to government’s bilateral agreements. So please contact the closer Brazilian Consulate/Embassy in your country to ask information about timing, needed documents, etc.

What documents are required for enrollment?

Undergraduate Programs

Once you have passed the *Official Admission Test*, you will need to present the following documents for enrollment:

  • High School Degree (certified for legal purposes in your home country. Original and copy);*
  • High School Transcript Certificate (certified for legal purposes in your home country. Original and copy);*
  • Birth Certificate (certified for legal purposes in your home country. Original and copy);*
  • RNE – a foreign person ID card (Original and copy);
  • CPF Number (Original and copy);
  • 3×4 photo;
  • Proof of address in Brazil (Original and copy)

*Your High School Degree and your High School Transcript Certificate, previously certified for legal purposes in your home country, have to be presented to the State Secretary of Education (Sao Paulo) to obtain a validation.

As soon as you arrive in Brazil, please contact the IED Sao Paulo Academic Department to give you more information on this step.

Graduate Programs

  • Undergraduate Diploma (certified for legal purposes in your home country. Original and copy);*
  • Academic Transcripts (certified for legal purposes in your home country. Original and copy);*
  • Birth Certificate (certified for legal purposes in your home country. Original and copy);*
  • RNE – a foreign person ID card (Original and copy);
  • CPF Number (Original and copy);
  • 3×4 photo;
  • Proof of address in Brazil (Original and copy)

*Your Undergraduate Diploma and your Academic Transcripts, previously certified for legal purposes in your home country, have to be presented to a Brazilian public University that have the same level and course area or equivalent to obtain a validation.

In Sao Paulo, the following Universities are among the institutions authorized by the Ministry of Education (MEC) to carry out validation of undergraduate programs taken abroad:

Extension programs

  • RNE – a foreign person ID card (Original and copy);
  • CPF Number (Original and copy);
  • Proof of address in Brazil (Original and copy)

IMPORTANT:

At most 30 days after their arrival in Brazil, the foreign student must go to a Brazilian Federal Police office to register him/herself and to apply for the RNE, a foreign person ID card. In order to do so, the student visa will be required.

The CPF number can be obtained through the closer Brazilian Consulate/Embassy in your country. Please contact them to ask information about the CPF number.
